Oil level switch is a switch used to monitor liquid oil level, commonly used in oil tanks, oil-water separators, lubricating oil tanks and other equipment. When the liquid level reaches the set height, the oil level switch will trigger a signal to notify the control system to perform corresponding operations, such as turning off the oil inlet pump and opening the oil drain pump. Oil level switches usually adopt float type, magnetic type, capacitive type and other different working principles, which have the advantages of simple structure, high reliability and long service life.

Working principle of oil level switch:
1. Equipped with transformer oil, the contact of the switch is immersed in oil to prevent oxidation, and the contact is dissipated, and the switch to ensure reliable insulation between the high-voltage contacts and to the ground is called an oil switch;

2. When the oil switch is broken, the moving contact is separated from the fixed contact to generate an arc, which decomposes the oil at the high temperature of the arc and produces a large amount of hydrogen, forcing the arc to extinguish;

3. The oil of the oil switch must be changed frequently, because the high temperature of the arc will cause the oil to decompose to generate free carbon, conduction
The insulation performance of the oil is reduced, the oil color is turbid and black, and the oil should not be overinstalled, because the oil will quickly vaporize at the high temperature of the arc, promote the oil level to rise sharply, and easily cause oil splashing and explosion.
